I'm also interested in the answer to this, if it makes a difference I have a 97 SLT 4d 4WD model

i am not completely sure, but i have a 2002 jimmy 4dr, i just bought tires for it, i went with 30x9.5 cooper discoverer stt and these were a very tight fit, i had to take my front mud flaps off and there is not even enough room to fit my finger in between the tire and the frame when the wheels are turned all the way, so i would assume that a body lift would not be enough to allow for a tire this size unless you dont mind if they rub on the frame

you can fit them fine with a 3 inch body lift but dont go to wide with the tire size as you will rub when you turn try to stay under 10.5 inches wide i know because i have a 1999 gmc jimmy that is lifted 3 inches with 33 x 10.5 inch tires turns all the way both ways no hitting it is kinda tight between the frame and tire when they are turned all the way but no rubbing i got about 1 inch clearance between frame and tire fully turned
