I've b having trouble with my 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 6.0 Litre.
Looking for any help I can get.
The problem is it runs terrible in damp or wet weather, like it's not firing on all cylinders. When it acts up it loses all power but keeps running at a lower RPM. To correct the problem I simply turn the engine off and then back on. It seems to do it when the motor is cold or hot. The problem went away this winter but with spring and wet weather starting it has returned.
I have changed the plugs and wires and have a code reader on it but there's no trouble codes. I'm wondering if it is electrical in nature like the coil packs or computer. Or whether it's a problem with the cats being plugged up.
The truck has 256000 Kms on it and also has a minor rear seal leak.
Any advice of where to start would be great.
Thanks for your time
