I'm having a defrost issue with my 2000 GMC Sierra, 5.3L.
I have hot air and cool air, the vent selector works, but yet with it on defrost and hot air, the windshield does not defrost.
How do you tell if the heatcore is bad or if there is another problem?
I happened to see a small puddle of fluid under my truck, on the passenger side front area, this morning, but I didn't know if it was from moisture or what and I noticed that there is a small smell of antifreeze as well but yet I'm not having any water temp issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

Update: we found antifreeze coming out the condenser drain and a trace of some on the inside, so it's the heater core.
