2001 4.3 code # P1683

My Safari with a 4.3 is given me a code...P1683.....it wont start....any idea's what this code means and how to correct it? Is there a way to reset it? I have taken the posts off the battery for 24 hours, still get the code???? Thank you for any direction you can offer.

The code p1683 is an error in the ecm. The Eraseable programable read only memory in the computer. It can't read the data in the computer. That is the cause of the no start. The dealer must replace the computer and flash the new one.
