I have a 2001 gmc jimmy, 60k miles Auto 6 cyl 4X4, and at any speed it feels like one of the tires ( hard to decipher which one ) is shaped like an egg. I replaced the tire rods. The ball joints don't seem to be damaged, I have pulled on the A Arm from all angles with the vehicle raised and tire removed. I've read on a few forums about some different possible causes and I'm trying to get a second opinoin on it. One thread says it can be a warped rear brake drum which makes sense, another says it could be the idler arm (but doesnt seem like the cause, it's more of an up and down wobble than a side to side). The vehicle does pull to the right hard and the steering wheel needs to be turned 90 degrees to the left. Could a damaged CV axle or hub cause such a wobble? Very intermittently I'll get a strange grind in the front wheel wells (sounds like CV axle gears) but it goes away quickly. I know this is asking alot, and given this vehicles track record it could be 100 different things, any info would be greatly appreciated.
