I have a problem....
I just recently replaced the blower motor resistor in my GMC Savana 1500 with an OEM AC Delco part and it worked great for about four days.
Unfortunately, while driving today I noticed a burning smell and then I saw smoke coming out of the control panel. The switch to change fan speeds heated up so much that it's melted and won't turn.
Does this sound like it could be a faulty blower motor resistor? Or should I be looking elsewhere as to why the switch overheated?
I'd hate to replace the control panel just to have it melt again.....
