We bought a 2001 Jimmy a few weeks ago and have had a few problems with it. The floor heat stopped working a few days in; we figured out why that happened and possibly how to fix it but it is not a huge problem.
About a week ago after being driven for an hour, my boyfriend stopped at a store, turned the car off and went inside for a few minutes. When he came out, it wouldn't start. It would crank but would not start. We had the car towed to a local garage to fix what we assumed was the fuel pump. Because it was the weekend the garage only had time to tow the vehicle inside, they didn't get a chance to look at it until Monday. When they went to look at it Monday morning, after it sat in a warm garage all weekend, it started right up. They told us it could use a tune up ($650!), charged us $70 labor for pretty much nothing, and said they don't know why it didn't start.
We kept the gas tank full and put dry gas in it all week and it worked fine until yesterday morning. The night before we didn't stop to put any gas or dry gas in. Something is freezing but we can't pinpoint what it is. We live in Maine and it has been very cold this month. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar and maybe has some advice? Anything helps!
