2001 Sonoma 4 cylinder 2 wheel drive lift kit?

So I got a 2001 Sonoma 4 cyl with 2 wheel drive and I'm wanting to put a 6 inch lift and aggressive all terrain tires on it so I can get out to some better fishing spots , not get stuck at the beach as easily and maybe do se mudding in it. But I've never done a lift before so what all would I need and how much would it probably cost me I know I'll need the lot and the tires but what else and also what will I need to do to keep the mpg the same?
