2001 Sonoma fuel pump replacement

I would put in the best replacement pump I could get. They are a pain to replace and you don't want to be doing that too often. Whether or not that is a Delco pump, I couldn't say. Just don't be putting in some cheap Chinese part.

Unfortunately, any more the Delcos are just cheap Chinese parts.

I had the fuel pump fail on my '99 Sonoma last winter and had researched the models and makes available so I could discuss it with the repair service. They were familiar with most of the makes I found, and indicated they would only use Delphi due to the failure of others they had tried. I can't say if it was worth the extra money, but it hasn't failed so far. Make sure to replace the fuel filter at the same time, since the tank has to be removed and sometimes drained, and that kicks up a lot of accumulated sediment that will plug an aged filter.
