What happens if I put a 4.8 transfer case in my gmc 1500 truck 2002 4x4 when it is a 5.3? Everyone says it’s okay but I’m not sure. My transmission is slipping, Is the gear ratio different between 4.8 & 5.3?

ESTABLISH THE OVERALL LENGTH OF EACH TO DETERMINE MATCHING LENGTH...
TEETH HAVE TO COUNT THE SAME TOO FRONT AND BACK....
YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE OUT THE SPEED SENSOR....
