I have a 2002 Seirra extended cab 4x4 5.3 liter with 110,000 miles on it and I am having a vibration between 55-68 mph. I replaced the entire driveshaft with a new complete oem shaft. I had the wheels and tires road-forced balenced. I do have Yokohama tires on it that are all wearing very good.
I am lost as what to do next!
The vibration is there no matter what gear i am in(overdrive, d-3, neutral) it has not effect on the vibration. I also replaced all the brakes, new pads and rotors all around. Please help me- Its driving me nuts!
THANKS
Brian

did you have the vibration before driveshaft replacement
the u-joints must be phased correctly to each other ( slip joint must be inserted incorrectly)
also check your engine mounts and tranny mount

How about the u joints in the front shaft. I belive that it turns all the time. This would give you this vib.

vibration

Guys I had the vibration before we put in the new driveshaft. It was dealer installed- I would guess they know what they are doing. I will check all the mounts- motor and transmission. Thanks for all you help!

don't be so sure that dealer techs know what they are doing. It's the luck of the draw of who's bay your tk goes in. I worked at a dealer for 4 years and saw some pretty lame/dump techs.
