2003 GMC Sierra 2500 financing?

im looking at getting a 4x4 before the end of the summer so i can be prepared this winter. i found a gmc sierra 6.6L diesel 4x4. the dealer is asking what the blue book suggested retail is. what would i be able to get financed and for how many months? is it too old to finance? should i go to a credit union and see what they could do? thanks

The vast majority of the banks and credit unions won't finance anything over 7 years old.
