2003 GMC Sonoma Starting Problem

Have a 2003 GMC Sonoma ZR-5. While traveling 60mph on the highway the engine stops dead. No other power issues, just the motor stops, headlights and radio stay on without issue. Once stopped attempts to start fail, the starter is heard but doesn't roll the engine over.
Replaced the starter and the motor rolls over but won't fire.
Verified the following:
Battery and alternator
Spark at the plugs
Fuel pump and filter flow
Cap and rotor
Engine fires on starting fluid but dies immediately

Is it the injectors? Some controller/computer?

Have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge? How about vacuum lines? Fuel pressure regulator?
