Hi y'all, my dashboard "information center" went out a while back. It was out for around a week or so but came back on for a week maybe, then out again. It came back on again a month later but went out again for a month now.
Everything goes out; all gauges, and the odometer/trip miles display. So, no speedometer/tach, gas guage, or trip miles. I can't know when I'll run out of gas, or tell what my speed is, both pretty important, lol.
This is my second 1500, first was 2001 and this one is a 2004, in great shape. The '01 had electrical ghosts, too.
I didn't find any burned fuses and I'm wondering if the Module can go out, where it would go out and come back on, on occasion? The backlighting stays lit at night and I can dim them like normal. It's just all of the gauges and digital odometer.
So, has anyone else experienced this problem and could shed some light on what to do. Thanks! My truck is an '04 1500 extended cab, Z71 4WD, 5.3L fuel injected. The truck had easy miles on it before I bought it. It looks brand new under the hood, still.
