I have a 2005 GMC 2500 HD with the 6 liter motor. 120,000+ miles and so far been the perfect truck

Today i was plowing and as the day went on i found my plow to be acting funnie. I thought it was low on fluid so i stopped at the house and added plow fluid. Went to start the truck and nothing. All lights, wipers and radio were fine, just nothing at the key. I went and killed about 45 minutes and it started right up. Plow was still not right so i don't think they are related.

Finished plowing, dropped the plow in the garage and brought the truck outside, shut it off, then tried to start with nothing, same symptoms.

Any ideas??? This is my first post here.

I had this same intermittent problem until if finally quit starting at all. It turned out to be a bad connection at the ecm; specifically at the ign terminal. Mine was on the top connector to the ecm it was a pink wire in the #9 pin. Had to replace the pin terminal in the plug for that hole.
could also be your ignition switch (separate of the Key lock cylinder) located under the key lock cylinder. It costs about $30 bucks.
