Hello all, I have been trying to fix an electrical issue for days now.
2005 GMC Savana Pro 3500 6.0.
I am getting no ground at the starter relay. If I send power down to starter she starts and runs. I have constant hot at one terminal of relay and "key on" power on another leg just no ground to make the relay "go". I tried the ten minute reset no luck. Anyone know what wire provides ground to the relay and does it come from the PCM? Also a wireing diagram for the ignition switch and passlock system. I think I have a bad wire just dont know what color.

All relays have been tested
all fuses tested
I have no power to the obd port. Is it OBD 2?
Thanks all. ready to take it in to the dealer. I am reading that replacing the passlock system resolves this problem, but Im not a "parts replacer". Kinda like finding the problem.

Well Ill post this to maybe help someone else out. It appears that the passlock system fails / shorts out. I wiggled the connectors at the ignition switch and she started. Now it worked for about 5 starts then died for good. So I am going to wire around the passlock system and hope this is the fix. I will post back the results. This seems to be a common problem with gms.

I bypassed the passlock two system and relearned my key still no start. I am thinking of just running a switch to the relay and forget all of this.
