I hope someone can answer my question. Well I drive a 2005 gmc envoy with only 60,000 miles on it. I baby my suv so much. I always make sure the fluids and oil is changed. I can even change the oil more than it needs. So my check engine light keeps coming on. I had it checked with that scan tool and it said coolant problem. How can there be a coolant problem when I just had the coolant flushed about 4 weeks ago. like I said I baby my car so what else could be the problem if it keeps saying coolant. Im worried it could end up being very expensive.

What was the DTC codes, it could be from a bad thermostat that is stuck open and your engine is running too cold. The Temperature of the engine should be at 210 when running 100%.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I have the same issue. I was told by the OnStar tech that the thermostat needed to be replaced and that the engine would not run at its best because the engine temperature, through the computer regulates the fuel flow from the injectors. I plan on replacing the thermostat which is accessed through the front left tire shrowd. The thermostat is on the left lower side of the engine. Good luck.
