I am hoping to find someone who can help me...I live in the greater Seattle area and the dealerships won't (go figure, they say its a liability with how much rain we get)
My heater core recently went out and I brought it in, the techs started to work on it they noticed that the floor board on the passenger side was soaked, but not with coolant, it was water. I traced the leak, to what I thought was a leaking sunroof drain line or the plastic frame of the drain lines. I put some silicone up there and thought I fixed it, until the next big rain fall.
I have now layed a hose over the plastic "grating" that is around the wiper blades at the base of the window, with the hose running, I pulled the interior kick plate moulding and triangle moulding just forward of the door on the passenger side along with the rubber sound barrier panel behind it. There is a cavity right there that is filling with water and allowing the water to run along side the truck, under the molding and also into the floor board matting/carpet.
I guess, does anyone have any drawings that could possibly show leak paths or anyone with experience??
I think another crucial point is that this truck did have passenger side damage before I bought the truck, but I dont know who did the work so I cant take it back. Also, I had the windshield replaced about 6 months ago. I have no idea how long the leak has been going on...Any info would help!!
