2007 GMC Sierra Driver's Window Switch and Rear Window Lock Broken

Hello,
Last month I loaned the truck out to a family member. There was still snow and ice up here. I think what happened was that there was ice on the driver's window and he tried to break the window free using the switch.
Now the driver's window switch doesn't work. I can control the other three windows from the master. The rear window child lock-out switch is also inoperable. Thinking it was the master switch I found a reasonably priced one from a supplier ($39) and replaced the switch. Didn't help. Now I'm thinking it must be the motor or maybe a relay. Any thoughts? Thx.

Use a multimeter and check to see if power is going to the motor when you press the switch, if power is there then it would be safe to assume the motor is bad. Just my 2 cents worth.

I would also double check with the dealership that you do have the correct switch, I believe there are a few different versions of the switch as you can see here http://www.switchdoctor.net/gmc-sierra-window-switch.html , depending on the package you have.
