Went to look at the tank this monring, you could see the water at the bottom... they have denied warranty because of what they call "fuel contamination" could water cause a fuel pump to go out? I have called the gas company and they are sending a guy to the dealership to have a look... maybe this is a ethanol gas product and it had to much ethanol?? anyone ever heard of this warranty issue? the truck was hesitating real bad and the check engine light was blinking and it finally came to a stop and did not have any power...
the tank was filled up on august 29th, and was driven every day until saturday september 5th "morning of the 5th was the last time it was used" Then on the 8th tuesday morning within one mile the truck started having the problems, it then had a 1/4 tank of gas. So basically the truck sat for about 3 days total
The motor is the flex motor z vin code.. i did contact the corporate office of the gas station.. top tier company that has stores locally that are owned. He has already sent someone to the dealership to take a look and get a sample
The dealership has already qouted me a price to change out the fuel pump.. 934.00 bucks and the rental that i have now will not be covered... wonder what the 934.00 includes? Hopefully the tank cleaned and the lines, not sure about the fuel injectors? What else possibly? Hopefully the gas company will pay for this or i might have to go with my comp insurance, might have been vandalism??
