Nearly 1yr ago, I had a small lift installed on my 2500HD (3" front/1" rear) and upgraded to slightly larger tires (275/70R 18). Winter was almost over so I never had much for 4x4 usage but what little I did do, I was not impressed. Never did anything about it and winter driving is here again. The truck handles just fine in 2wd but as soon as its put in 4wd, the handling is down right scary. With my hand at 12 o'clock on the steering wheel, I end up fighting at 10 o'clock all the way to 2 o'clock to keep it between the lines (barely). It doesnt give any warning - it litterally jumps from one direction to the other. I've owned 4x4's (GMC/Chev) a long time and have never had a truck that handled like this. The fun of winter diving isnt there anymore. I have to be on guard all the time to avoid running into cars next to me. I put on over 30,000km/18,000miles this past summer. The tires are NOT wearing uneven so I can't see it being an alignment issue. Don't understand how/why I'm more comfortable driving in 2wd on poor roads than in 4wd.

the hubs are automatic correct, soliniod controled
maybe the hubs are engaging and disengaging
