In December of 2010 I bought my 2009 GMC Acadia used and I have always had issues with it switching gears its always a little slow to catch up when I accelerate. Then about 6 months after I bought it the water pump was leaking causing the car to run hot, thankfully that was covered under my warranty and the dealership fixed it for free, and they fixed the electrical system recall or so they claim at this time. Then a few months later it felt like the engine was sliding under the hood, and I brought it in and the front struts were broken. I always have something pop up, like my tires, airbag, traction control, etc., and get it checked and its nothing. Then about a year later the transmission fluid was leaking, but every time I'd bring it to the dealership they would tell me they couldn't find the leak. In November of 2013 my check engine light started flashing, and my car felt like it was missing. It ended up being coils 1-3 out. So I had to have them fixed. Then 2 days later it started doing the same thing so we changed coils 3-6. Still having the same problem the mechanic told me he felt it was an electrical issue because that's the code he was getting and they were fine. So I brought it to the dealership and it turned out the gas pump was leaking and it was causing the coils to go out and the catalytic converter so they covered it all under warranty and I only had about 20 days and less than 1,000 miles until my 100k warranty expired so I asked that they check everything and let me know that it was all taken care of and I was told that it was. It drove better on the way home, but not wanting to put any more miles on it I've kept it parked under my carport and have been driving another vehicle because I knew I going to trade it in soon. Well I finally found a vehicle and drove it for like the 2 or 3rd time since it left the dealership and went to trade it in and the dealership wont even make an offer on it because the transmission is slipping, and I've read online that there were several other people with the same problem. First the coils, then the catalytic converter, and finally the transmission dies. If it was just my car that would be one thing, but I've read of so many other people that have had the same problems and GM should recognize the problem and do something about it. This car has been the worst decision I've ever made, and I'll never buy another GM vehicle I've been lucky and gotten most of the problems taken care of, but now I'll have to shell out $4k just to get rid of it.
