Just bought a 2009 GMC Sierra Extended Cab and the Cosco child seat I used in the rear of my last vehicle is too large for the bench seat in the rear of my new truck. I looked through the new owners manual and was not able to come up with anything. Does anyone know a make and model for a child's seat that will fit safely in the back of my new truck?

The problem is your choice is too small no matter what. You don't put toddlers in the back of extended cabs. You should of bought a crossover or an SUV.

I have raised 4 kids and all of them have ridden in the back of my 2000 Sierra extended cab, yes the 3 door. Ages range from infant on up to teen.
Obviously not the greatest family vehicle but if I wanted a crossover or SUV I would have just spent my money on a minivan.
As far as your question. Graco makes a car seat for toddler on up. The back detaches and you have a booster seat when the tike gets a bit older. I wish I could give you the model but the seat itself is not very deep. Take your tape measure with to the local dept. store.
