I purchased a new 2010 GMC Acadia and it will smoke on start up for about 45 seconds, first spitting out blue smoke and then changing to black smoke. I have taken it to the dealer and even had the DSM look at it, and have finally been told that this is "normal" and "as designed" and GM is closing my file. This is enough smoke to fill a two bay garage after the vehicle has sat overnight, and the longer it sits the more smoke there is. I have also found now that the we have had the truck for about 5 months and 10,000km (6,000 miles) the smoke is getting worse. I first noticed the issue when standing at the back of the truck and I pushed the auto start while I wasl oading my sons stroller into the back. I have owned a lot of vehicles and never had a car smoke like this, does anyone else have this problem?
