I have a 2011 gmc sierra 1500, that i bought in december. i have driven an f250 for the last four years, until i decided to go to a crew cab. my question is does anyone have any issues with paint chipping on their trucks. i had my f250 for four years and never had any chips in the paint. in my gmc i have about 50 small paint chips on the front of the hood. i havent followed any dump trucks or driven on any gravel roads so they are not from rocks hitting my truck. i have been on the highway a lot since i bought my truck but being in the military we are always going somewhere, i havent driven it in any different conditions then i did with my ford. this doesnt seem right to me and i was wondering if anyone else is having issues. i was told that if i didnt have a good clear coat then something tiny and insignificant could cause a chip because the clear coat was thin or cheap.
