New to the truck scene. Just bought a 2011 Sierra SLE and love the truck but one thing concerns me...

When stopped, in any gear, I can feel a slight bouncing motion throughout the whole cab of the truck. It's worse when I'm at a stop light and I ease off the brake to advance forward (still keeping my foot on the brake, but the letting the truck roll forward). I'm thinking this is normal but I'm not sure. I haven't noticed any erratic spikes in idle on the gauge.

Anyone have a similar issue?

If your unsure, take it back to the dealer. Nothing better then warranty and you can also compare it to another 2011 Sierra that is there. ;)

Keep us posted, but from what you have described, could just be the IAC adjusting the engine idle load when the A/C compressor comes on. Check to see if you still have the same issues with the climate control system turned off.

Only thing similiar I have seen is the rotors tend to warp easily on the 10 and 11 models if the brakes are nailed hard a couple of times but that would be noticed while stopping. not when stopped. I too would definately take it to their service dept. good warrenties on them. heck there are 3 years on the Goodyear Wranglers. Can't beat that.

I had a similar issue on a brand new 97 silverado with the 350. It really bothered me for the first 1000 miles then I got used to it.

I did bring it to the attention of the dealer who checked it out and claimed that it was normal and just a by product of strict epa rules and gas wise engine. I thought it sounded like hogwash at the time but another new one did the same thing.

After 1000 miles I forgot all about it and it didn't bother me at all.

But, I have a 2011 Z71, and it is pretty slick at at idle. I'd definately take yours in and have them take a look.
