My 2011 sierra speakers pop and thump when the vehicle is off. The nav system was put in by dealer as an upgrade from regular cd/stereo. After vehicle is off for a minute or so I will hear 2 loud pops or thumps. Noise repeats a few mins later. If I exit vehicle 2 pops come each time when door opens. When I unlock doors after being away the 2 pops come. If I don't lock and open door, 2 pops every time when I get in.
Volume and turning radio off do not change anything. Dealer says it's because the nav doesn't work right with the wiring for that truck since it was set up for cd/stereo. Says two options are putting old stereo in or buying aftermarket nav.... I don't believe aftermarket nav would fix noise, doesn't seem logical.
Please help with any ideas! Thanks!
