Hoping I can get some direction. I bought a 2013 Sierra 2500HD 6.0 back in September. I Recently had the fuel pump replaced back in November/December. Had to use a Delphi pump since the OEM was on backorder at the time. Im including this information just for reference as its the only thing thats changed since I got the truck which leads me to my current issue:
I dont drive the truck everyday since I have a work truck. If the truck sits for a couple weeks, its completely dead. As in no lights, no chines no instrumentation, No crank. I charged the battery, and used a fluke 87V to check for parasitic draw. Meter read 0.001 amps/milliamps (which I question should of read higher than that from what Ive been told when off.) Went across each fuse for milivolt reading under the hood. All read 0.0
Picked up a Foxwell Battery/starter/alternator tester. Everything comes back normal. I did notice the factory auxiliary switch (for lighting) on the overhead console was turned on. I just so happen to look up, never knew it was there. Its equipped with snow plow package from factory. The led on the switch does not turn off with the ignition. The led only goes away when flipped opposite direction (off) Nothing is wired to it to my knowledge.
Also noticed the headlight on warning chime when I open the door is intermittent as in it works sometimes and other times it doesnt.
Truck only has 45,000 miles on it. Old man owned it and just drove around in a farming community.
Other than confirming my readings with a different meter what else should I be checking? Im definitely missing something. Hoping someone can help. Have some trips planned and want this resolved before towing my travel trailer down the road.
