The driver side rear brake pad is worn down to <3mm all of the others are at +/- 10mm. I have 29k miles on the truck. I began to hear a squealing sound from one of the wheels, like a brake pad not releasing while on a trip. by the time I got back home it had escalated to a grinding sound when braking. After pulling all of the wheels I found the driver side rear pad worn down to 3mm or less. I don't see any grooves in any of the rotors. Is this possibly caused by a collapsed brake hose or something more serious? As of now I'm planning to have the rear rotors re-surfaced and replace the pads. I'm thinking I'll put the rear axle on jack stands and spin the rear tires up and stop, then check to see if I hear the dragging and or check to see if the wheels can be rotated after braking.
