Hello all, looking to get a hard tonneau cover for my canyon sb. Looking towards a folding or rollup. Any suggestions or even what NOT to get?
Thanks
Kevin

I have a Black '16 Colorado ext with 6'bed. I purchased a Undercover black "plastic" cover that does not require paint and can be easily remove if needed. Very pleased with it ..... I did find it on Auto Anything and a local shop (< mile away sold them ) . I was also able to program the lock to use the ignition key as well. I can send pis if you like ....... dmw540@gmail.com

In 2011 I purchased an Extang hard fold cover and it is great, larches on each side at the front using built in screw clamps. With the tailgate open there is a spring clamp on either side that locks simply and securely then shut the gate and lock it. I transfered it to my 2015 Canyon and now to my 2017 Denali, cover looks as good as first installed. I needed new trim rubber for front of bed and Extang sent me front and rear pieces at no charge arriving in three days.
This cover can be folded and secured for tall loads however a third of the bed remains covered.

For a hard roll-up cover, I recommend the Bakflip Revolver X2. This Bakflip tonneau cover is constructed of heavy-duty aluminum. Your belongings are secured also because of its locking rail system.

Karl, I had a Bakflip and locked myself out, a loup of stiff wire caught the latch cable and opened it in seconds. Maybe they have a different locking mechanism now.

Hello, I had an Extang Encore (hard cover-both ends open) installed today on my new All Terrain 2017 Canyon and it looks like a great cover. They have an offer good thru July 31 that gets you a free cargo sling made by Truck Luggage. Go to Extang web site to download the redemption form.

Extang makes really nice covers. I bought a roll-up vs a hard cover. I considered it but decided when I want to get to the back I would just rather roll it up vs having to take off and store. To each his own. CarID.com has some really good deals.

I have a 2020 Canyon Denali waiting for transport from the plant to Spokane Wa, I purchased a Gator Evo bi-fold hard cover for the new truck. The cover is still in the box but I inspected it and it looks well made, we will see how it fits and works once the truck is here. My Extang sat on top of the bed and sealed nicely the Gator has rails on the inside bed lip and the cover rests on them and level with the top of the bedsides allowing the accessory rails if one should desire them.

Black Pearl 88 is awesome; it also fits well with what you are looking for... Very good compromise fro frontside, slackcountry, off-piste. Of course Colorado has lots of snow...
