Today I noticed that my temperature Guage on the control panel was completely bottomed out with absolutely no reading. By that point I'd had the car running for almost 2 hours.
I then went to turn on the AC and it was blowing warm air. It remained this way almost all day today... until at 5:25pm I noticed that my temp Guage was reading again, so I decided to see if the AC was back too. Sure enough it was!
Earlier I turned off the car, let it sit for awhile... and it still was doing the same thing.

I've also been getting an alert message nearly every time I start it and occasionally part way through a quick trip on the highway. It says "Steering assist reduced" and tells me to drive with care. I'm beginning to feel like I have some sort of electrical issue going on

Can someone please help, thanks in advance

I had the same exact issues and changed thermostat and coolant temp sensor since they are in the same area and both require removal of intake manifold...did spark plugs too since at 100K
