Hi All - Wondering if anyone else is having similar issues with their Infotainment Center on the 2017 Acadia Limited Edition:
Radio: AM reception is horrible. You get static and drop outs when going under a tunnel, passing overhead wires, running the windshield wipers, etc. My previous Acadia (2014) had an HD radio and I did not experience these problems. To cut costs, GM chose to eliminate the HD feature in the 2017 model.
Navigation: On a recent visit to Washington, DC, the GPS voice said "In 1 mile, take exit on left to I-395 to Too-Neal." No one in the car - including someone certified as a DC Tour Guide - ever heard of such a place. When we got to the intersection, the sign read "I-395 Tunnel." On the return trip, it directed us to "I-95 South to REACH-MON (Richmond)." Returning to NY, later, it directed us to "I-278 to Brock-land (Brooklyn)."
We should keep a list of "Mispronounced Places in the USA" by GPS systems.
