2017 savanna trailer wiring

i have a 2017 savanna 2500 cargo van. it does not have the tow package. i am adding a seven pin wiring harness to tow a camper. the is a seven pin flat plug under the van, rear driver's side. the owners manual describes this plug on page 213. can this be used to hook up the trailer wiring harness.
also is there a plug under the dashboard to install the brake controller.

When I installed the towing harness, all the wiring was connected in the rear of the van. There should be a connection to hook up the trailer brakes back there.
