My preference would be the 22 inch so you can have more tire options. The 24 inch wheel will give you only low profile type tires and i have killed more rims over bad pot holes with the tire surviving the hit and having the wheels running harder. The 22 will give you more tire sizes as to height so you can have more runner between the ground and rims and you'll rind a nicer ride.
I'm running my GMC jimmy back down to 16 inch rims and sold all my aftermarket ones. Only running the stock C4 rims from Corvette, 16 inch IROC rims, 16 inch Trans AM rims, and a set of Typhoon rims but they need to be repaired again due to pot holes. GRRRRR
