4 wheel drive low and high seems to stick when coming back to 2 wheel drive l

2008 sierra 45,000 miles Off road package Automatic If I switch the 4 wheel drive selector 24 wheel drive then 4 wheel drive low When I go back to 2 wheel drive it takes some time to disengage Anyway It is possible to gree ce or the lubricate the linkage going to the front and rear diff thank you very much in advance also it seems to have been driven in salty conditions so I think I wanna concentrate on the cables and lubrication to them

Try this as tension may be on the gears from use and you need to release it before it can disengage.

If you are sitting still, move the vehicle or even back it up a few feet. When driving, after disengaging let of the gas and coast to relieve the tension on the gears and it will disengage.
