Heeeeelllpp!!! I purchased a 95 GMC pickup about a year ago. It had sat for approximately 3 years. The guy I bought it from said the 305ci motor had been rebuilt before the 4L60e transmission went out and they didn't want to put anymore money in it. So they parked it. The transmission would go into reverse but not drive. So I towed it home had the transmission rebuilt and drove it for a test drive. The transmission shifted fine until it warmed up then it would shift erratically from 4th to 3rd fourth to 2nd and not go into OD. And it only does it after it has warmed up. If i leave the house and get a straight shot down the highway before it warms up it will get into OD and stay there until i exit and stop then it never goes back into OD. After researching on these forums I decided to replace the shift solenoids. Still no change. Feeling defeated I parked it for about a year driving it occasionally. I decided to take it to another tranny shop. I got a call today saying that he drove it around with his computer connected and he saw that it was shifting crazy. Something is telling the computer to shift back and forth and he doesn't know what it is and can't fix it. A couple other things that may or may not be related the windshield wipers stay on after u shut them off, the key in the ignition buzzer constantly buzzes, the check engine light is always on, and the ABS is acting crazy no pressure to the back brakes and the front isn't getting even pressure replaced the master cylinder still does the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This truck is getting close to not being a good deal. I deff innately think its a electrical issue and I don't know if these small thing are related but I'm not fixing anything else until I get it running right. Thanx in advance!!!
