I bought a 1994 GMC Jimmy with 4.3 Vortec, auto, shift on fly. I have been having a 4wd issue and I have yet to understand it.
Replaced the actuator under the battery tray as well as switch on the rail as well as run new vacuum line all the way through. My problem is this: When I engage 4wd, the actuator under the battery works (sucks in rubber diaphram), but when I disengage the actuator does not disengage (does not let rubber diaphram out). Is there something I am missing or misunderstanding? Parents owned this vehicle before me and this is the first time I have dealt with a 4wd system like this (F250 with SOF is other vehicle). Help!!
