Hey guys i'm new to this forum and am running into an issue with my 4WD...I have a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 z71 with the 5.3 in it with the push button 4WD. Last winter it was not working so I put in a new actuator which was to no avail...Then went on to change my transfer case fluid which did nothing for me.
Last night I installed a new Transfer case shift motor and when I push the buttons I can hear the motor engaging but the lights on my push button stay blinking. The truck now when you enter into 4WD low it pulls and skips as if it were in 4WD but its not. I tested on loose gravel, pavement, climbing a hill and other various ways and i'm only getting torque to the back wheels.
Any suggestions on what I may try next? Could it possibly be the switches in the dash? I didnt figure so since I can hear the motor on the transfer case doing its job. Help me out here I'm running out of options and patients!!
