86 2500 power window prob

I take it this is a common prob, drivers side window stopped, so I ordered new switch and motor, saw the wiresto the switch labeled by previous owner so I assume this is not the first time the window went out.
is the regulator a concern or should I be ok?

This is a pretty common problem for our trucks and because they are cable regulated windows and not solid armature trackwork the problem is more than likely the regulator and not actually the motor... if the window was working fine and then all the sudden stopped working I would say its more than likely your regulator. If the window slowly stopped working by acting like its getting harder and harder to put up the glass then I would say to look to the motor for your issue.

Hit the junkyard and pull a regulator... should only cost about 15 bucks
