My 1991 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd auto has been stalling on startup. I put in a longblock 350 at 165k. It has about 35k on the new engine.
It sits too much. It has had a miss at idle for a while. Now it stalls on startup and starts a little hard. It runs ok once it warms up a little. I just put plugs in it and the miss went away for a few miles.
It's TBI, I rebuilt the TBI a while ago, just cleaned cap/rotor, checked vac hoses, took out IAC to clean, need advice!
Code reader gave nothing, seems to be cold idle or startup idle situation. I unplugged the 4 wire IAC when running, no effect. I know there's a sensor next to the thermostat housing, wondering about the EGR, EGR delay switch, or TPS. TPS, O2 sensor not that old. Cat is 2 yrs old.
