So i just bought this 91 sierra 5.7 and the wipers arent really working. They only work on high and when i go to turn them off they will literally stop anywhere in the process instead of going all the way back down. Ive took the connector off and cleaned it but didnt help. The PO installed a aftermarket steering wheel so im wondering if its maybe in the switch instead of the actual motor. Any help would be great guys thanks

90% of GM trucks had wiper issues from a bad pulse module. its located in the black box were the wires go in the motor. The bad news is, gm changed the wiper set up in the 92 models and the part will only fit a 92 and up motor. It's up to 91 had the old style motor and 92 and up had the new motor.

So if your motor has never been changed the pulse module may not fit your oe motor if its the original and its one whole unit. Hopefully it was replaced with a 92 to newer style wiper motor assembly, and you won't have to buy a new motor also. If you do have to get one, buy a 94 and up.

Keep us posted and be safe

They work on high, but they move fast? or even on high they move slow?

years ago my '98 had wiper issues
I took the module apart
cleaned a little corrosion off
removed the hardened grease
regreased it using dielectric grease
the unit lasted almost another year
if I remember right the replacement unit was close to $100
