i have a 92 surburban throddle body 5.7 thats studders at low rpms and when i give it gas it levels out. replaced spark plugs at 0.35 gap new wires, cap and button. have not checked timming or changed fuel filter. im getting about 9 mpgs right now from having to push the gas to level out so any help at all would be great. thank you in advance

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter and clean your throttle body (use throttle body cleaner, carburetor cleaner too corrosive to the gaskets used on throttle body's), once you have done both. Inspect your EGR valve and vacuum lines, a stuck EGR valve with carbon build up can cause what you have described and also a bad vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator will do the same.

If the EGR is to far gone with too much Carbon build up, you may want to replace it with a new one. To clean the EGR, use carburetor cleaner or brake parts cleaner to get the carbon out and check to make sure the pin valve moves freely in the EGR valve.

Good luck and keep me posted. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/
