Well I still have code 32... and need some help troubleshooting. I recently swapped in a new motor, code was there before and after. I replaced the EGR valve and solenoid when I did the engine swap. The truck runs great, but that SES light keeps illuminating after about 20 minutes of driving, each and every drive. On a friends suggestion, I just ordered and replaced the catalytic converter and still have the code. Haynes manual isn't much help either, I know I don't have the linear EGR, but how do I tell if I have the ported or negative backpressure EGR? The only thing left I see that it could possibly be is the intake manifold or PCM. Does anyone have step by step instructions to actually test this system to identify what part is failing? I'm getting frustrated and don't necessarly want to take it to the shop at $85.00 an hour. It's a 1993 GMC Sierra with the 4.3, 2-wheel drive, VIN code "Z". Any help would certainly be appreciated.
