Hello all, I bought a '93 Sierra for my son a few months ago when he started driving. I am now having the first problem I can't work out and thought some of you guys might have had the same and could help. About a week ago the headlights went out. First I checked wiring, no problem found. Changed bulbs. still no lights. Changed switch in the dash. Still no luck. All running lights have always worked. I was told it was probably the multi switch in steering column, turn signals and dimmer switch controlled on same arm. After searching to buy online or at local auto stores I can only find a column mounted switch, not a multi switch. More searching and I cant find any forum, video or diagram on how to replace and where its located. I don't want to buy if it is not what I need. Also I can gently pull back on turn signal arm, like starting to turn on high beams and at one spot the low beams do come on. I believe this is the problem but I don't know where to start to fix it.

Thanks all

Hey guys here's a follow up, I was supprised that no one had encountered this before. After talking to a mechanic, I was told that when the high switch goes bad, sometimes all lights go out. He said it will start with high beam out then all shortly after. After searching and not being able to find a multi switch I talked to a guy at my local body shop. He said to by the $15.00 switch at Advance and that will fix it. He put it in for $25.00. It is not in the upper column, it is located at the bottom of the column connected to upper switch by a rod. He dropped the column and had it in within 30 minutes. Now knowing this and watching, I could have done it. Hope this helps someone.
