I have had this clunking noise since buying the car but haven't really gotten around to it. Whenever pulling out/in a driveway and maneuvering around parking lots and such, I get this clunk coming from the passenger side wheel area and you can also feel it in the passenger floorboard. I can recreate the noise every time while slowly backing up/pulling forward in a driveway while turning in either direction and the wheel does not have to be full tilt. When slowly turning like that the clunk happens multiple times. It also happens when taking turns on streets and when it does happen when taking the turn it is only one clunk. I have also heard it a couple times when braking as well but it is very intermittent. I have yet to hear any noticeable clunk or knocking noise when going over bumpy roads. I can never hear a sound while going straight either.

The CV joint, sway bar bushings, end links and upper ball joint are all new. I have had my brother slowly back up/pull forward while I followed outside the car and felt the parts but couldn't pinpoint anything. The wheel does not wiggle at all when grabbing the wheel and shaking it at the 12 and 6 or 9 and 3 positions. I have jacked the control arm up and checked the lower ball joint but am getting no noticeable play either, that I can create at least. The upper control arm bushings are slightly dry rotted but I haven't had time to replace them but I would think I would hear a clunk while going straight also if it were those. I have also recently gotten an alignment because the tires were so off center.

Any help would be appreciated.

If all your front suspension parts are good, inspect your torsion bar link support. (#14) Here is a link to your front end and parts.

Good luck and keep us posted. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u...delid=6872&capuid=1&majorgroup=06&grouptype=B
