Okay so I have done a lot of work to this car and I have been able to solve a lot of the issues with it but this one is stumping me. There is a thumping sound coming from it, and this is what I have gathered.
1) Only starts when the engine fully heats up to the normal operating temperature.
2) Comes and goes. Sometimes it's there and sometimes it isn't. As well as how loud the noise is.
3)Speed doesn't seem to have much of an effect on it. Except it is more prevalent when slowing down or accelerating at slow speeds. (That may just be due to the engine noise though)
4) It can be slightly heard when it park and revving the engine (very hard to make out though)
5) It sounds like it is coming from anywhere in between the passenger side of the car and where the transmission is mounted.
And yes I have already checked fluid levels of the transmission and I've checked the engine for knocking, and it's not that. Any ideas on what it could be? thank you.
