97 fuse question

Hi all .

On my ( recently bought ) 97 jimmy , next to the fuse box that is on the side of the dash ( drivers side ) I have a cylindrical hole ( ? ) It looks like there should be some type of a round fuse in it , there also is no cover for said " hole " and my repair manual doesn't have a pic.

Any answers much appreciated .

PS - I joined the forum last week and have been doing a good bit of reading.
Thanx to those peeps who provide answers as I've already learned quite a bit.
 
Yes , just left of center . the main cover is contoured to go around it.
 
I have a '98 and the only thing that would be a hole would be where the switch is for turning interior light off when door closes. Not part of cover for me though.
 
Yah , I'm feelin dumber than a bag of hammers right about now ...lol.
