97 gmc jimmy hard to start?

my 97 gmc jimmy is real hard to start but yet runs like a new car once it starts. had plugged in now three times at dealer they cant find the problem, fuel pump all checks out great and all new sparkplugs, wires, rotor button, distrib.cap, new starter.. if anyone has a suggestion on what this might be please help !!! this thing is driving us nuts ...

Next time it happens press the gas pedal all the way to the floor while you are cranking it if it fires up then your problem is flooding can be caused by the choke not adjusted properly,ecm not working properly,fuel pressure
