Check wiring, to sensors such as VSS and TPS. VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) located at the tail end shaft on the divers side of the transmission, if wires are good. Then replace the VSS sensor.

keep us posted and good luck. :D

thanks for the quick reply i'll re post after i check that tommorow morning

the wires looked fine.took the vss out cleaned the metal particles off it put it back in.hooked it up drove a very short distance abs was still on so i was hrmmmm manually shifted it to first then second then third abs light off speedo working.i wonder if it too a minute for the computer too realize there was no metal on the vss? pretty expensive magnetic pick up here in canada they want 274 bucks for one.still searching for cheaper

You can always try the Salvage Yard and get the part for about $20.00 if you pull the parts your self. Just be careful at the Yard and call around, some yards are more expensive then others. I got my AWD transfer-case at the yard for $50.00 with low KM. :D

The other thing also is that Parts Source and most transmission shop will scan your Jimmy for the DTC codes which would help you indicate issues with your transmission and ABS light being on.

Keep us posted and be safe and FYI, your ABS is a separate issue then your transmission that needs to looked at.
