After I drive for about 20 minutes, the "Check engine light" comes on and stays on steady. could this be a vacuum line? or any suggestions.

Thanks

What do the gauges read when it happens ?
And - Have you checked the coolant / oil / tranny levels ?

All athe gauges read normal and all fluids are good. I recently installed a new heater blowere switch and the temp control doesn't work. That is why I thought maybe a vacuum line was at fault.

on the driver's inner fender, behind the abs module, (gotta love those engineers) is a vacuum conn to the evap canister (at least on my '98 v6)

I saw the broken conn with a small mechanic's mirror, removed the (4) bolts holding down the abs, pulled it gently inward.

I was then more able to get at it.

careful, the vacuum tank conn is a small plistic tit (can I say that?)

luck,greg
